I invested in the fastest-growing AI home services company

Why I’m backing casamova to connect homeowners with skilled professionals—and give those professionals more time to do what they do best.

I invested in casamova because homeowners deserve a better way to find skilled professionals, and those professionals deserve better tools to run their businesses. Bringing those two needs together is an idea I believe in strongly enough to back with a substantial investment.

This decision brings together my experience across automotive, mobility, technology, supply chains and smart cities, alongside my previous investments in technology startups. Throughout that journey, I have been drawn to businesses that solve recognisable problems and improve the experience around an essential service.

Home services presents exactly that challenge. Repairs, maintenance and building work are part of everyday life. Yet finding a professional, explaining a job, preparing a quotation and organising the work can demand far more effort than it should.

casamova brings those activities together. After twelve months of development, including proofs of concept and minimum viable products, the platform is live in beta testing. Its official launch is planned for January 2027.

The journey that brought me here

Automotive taught me to look beyond the initial purchase. A vehicle begins a relationship involving years of servicing, repairs, changing needs and decisions about whom to trust. Much of the customer experience happens long after the sale.

A home has an even longer story. Families grow. Buildings age. Windows need replacing, kitchens need adapting and maintenance protects what people have worked hard to own. Each job belongs to the continuing life of that home.

My technology and supply-chain background taught me to pay attention to what happens between stages. Information passed clearly from one person to another saves effort. Information lost along the way creates delays, repeated questions and avoidable work. Those connections shape the quality of the service.

My experience at NEOM, working with smart-city thinking, gave this perspective a wider scale. Connected infrastructure and intelligent buildings matter because of what they make possible for the people using them. Their value ultimately reaches into everyday life.

My experience as a municipal vice-president brought that thinking closer to the practical needs of communities. Buildings need attention. Repairs, maintenance and construction affect how places function and how people feel about living in them. Delivering those services well depends on capable professionals, clear communication and effective organisation.

For me, the promise of a smarter city becomes meaningful when it makes everyday life at home work better.

What I saw in casamova

casamova runs the relationship between a home and its professionals for the life of the home.

That sentence captures the scale of the idea. A directory helps someone discover a professional. Business tools help that professional manage the work. casamova brings both sides into the same experience.

For homeowners, that means finding relevant professionals and requesting quotations easily. For business owners, it means AI-assisted quotation preparation and tools designed to reduce the burden of operations, administration and marketing.

What convinced me was the connection between them. The enquiry should help the quotation. The quotation should establish clearer expectations for the job. Good work should strengthen a relationship that continues when the home needs attention again.

That is a compelling foundation for a business: helping people find each other, then giving them better ways to work together.

For homeowners: Find Better. Choose Better.

Imagine replacing the windows in your home. You know what you want to improve, but you may not know which details an installer needs before preparing a quotation. You need to find suitable professionals, explain the project and understand the responses.

casamova gives that journey a clearer starting point: discover professionals, describe the work and request quotations. The purpose is to make it easier to move from a job that needs doing to an informed decision about the next step.

Clarity matters because work on a home is personal. It involves money, time and disruption to the place where people live. A useful quotation helps the homeowner understand what is being proposed and gives both sides a better basis for discussion.

Find Better. Choose Better. It is a simple promise about the experience we want to create: less confusion, clearer conversations and greater confidence in choosing how to move forward.

For professionals: Be Found. Be Chosen.

Now look at that window-replacement project from the installer’s side. An enquiry arrives while the team is working on another property. Someone needs to respond, clarify the requirement, prepare a quotation and follow up. Around that enquiry sit all the other responsibilities of running the business.

Being excellent at a trade does not make those responsibilities disappear. A professional can deliver outstanding work and still spend evenings preparing paperwork, answering messages and trying to keep marketing moving.

casamova connects visibility with practical business support. It helps professionals be discovered while bringing AI and automation into the work surrounding their trade.

AI-assisted quotation preparation is a clear example. Turning a customer’s requirement into a well-structured quotation takes time and attention. AI can support that preparation, while the professional brings the expertise needed to assess the job, set the price and stand behind the proposal.

The broader ambition is to automate as much of the routine operational, administrative and marketing workload as practical. Time recovered from repetitive tasks can go into better customer service, more effective planning and the work itself.

Be Found. Be Chosen. Attracting attention is the beginning. Giving professionals better ways to respond and deliver is what makes that attention valuable.

Technology should take work off the professional’s desk, not take the professional out of the work.

Why the two sides strengthen each other

This is the part of casamova’s approach that matters most to my investment decision.

A clearer homeowner request gives a professional a stronger starting point. A better-informed quotation helps the homeowner understand the scope and make a decision. Clearer expectations give the job a better foundation before anyone arrives on site.

When that is followed by good workmanship and communication, it builds trust. Trust supports repeat business, recommendations and a stronger reputation. That reputation helps the next homeowner choose, bringing the relationship back to its starting point.

Clearer requests. Better quotations. Better-organised jobs. Stronger reputations. More reasons for homeowners to return.

That is the reinforcing cycle I want casamova to support. Each improvement on one side creates value for the other. The directory and the professional tools have a shared purpose: making the relationship work better from the first enquiry onwards.

Twelve months of development

casamova has progressed through twelve months of development, including proofs of concept and minimum viable products. It is already live and undergoing beta testing.

For me, this work is central to the investment story. A convincing idea has to become an experience that makes sense to a homeowner and fits the working day of a professional.

Beta testing brings the product into contact with real expectations. People arrive with different levels of knowledge, different requirements and different ways of working. The experience has to make the next step clear without creating more work than it removes.

The next major milestone is the official launch planned for January 2027. The focus now is on refining the experience and preparing for that next stage.

AI that earns its place

My interest in AI begins with usefulness. In home services, that means helping people communicate clearly, prepare information and spend less time on repetitive tasks.

Quotation assistance makes the value tangible. A professional should be able to concentrate on the judgement a job requires rather than repeatedly starting the supporting paperwork from scratch.

The expertise remains essential. A property may need inspecting. Materials, access and working conditions affect the scope. Pricing and commitments require professional judgement. Good technology supports those decisions and leaves responsibility with the people qualified to make them.

The standard I care about is everyday reliability. A useful tool must fit a busy working day, an imperfect enquiry and a customer who needs a clear answer. That is where AI becomes valuable to a service business.

Why I invested

Having backed technology startups before, I know that an interesting idea is only the beginning. My conviction in casamova rests on three things.

A lasting need. Homes require repairs, maintenance and improvement throughout their lives. The technology will evolve, but the need for skilled people to look after our buildings will remain.

A meaningful business problem. Professionals need to win work and deliver it while managing everything around it. Reducing that operational burden addresses a real part of the working week.

A connected customer experience. Helping homeowners find professionals becomes more valuable when those professionals also have better tools to respond, organise and maintain the relationship.

That combination is why I have committed capital to casamova. I believe there is room to build a significant business by improving a service people already need and giving the businesses delivering it a stronger foundation.

The impact will be earned through execution: useful tools, clear communication, dependable experiences and the trust of the people using the platform. Those are the things that turn an ambitious idea into a business people rely on.

The next chapter

As casamova moves through beta towards its planned January 2027 launch, the ambition is clear: make home services easier to access, easier to organise and easier to deliver.

For homeowners, that means greater clarity around work that matters to their home. For professionals, it means more time and attention available for the trade they know and the customers they serve.

You can explore casamova and follow its progress towards the official launch.

I have spent my career exploring how technology changes the way people move, how businesses operate and how cities serve their communities. This investment brings those experiences into a relationship that lasts for years: the one between a home and the people who look after it.

With casamova, those ideas come home.
